So last night the Academy Awards broadcast with no host, a first in 30 years, awarded its 2019 winners. The major winners include the movie; ‘Green Book’ which took home ‘Best Picture’, Rami Malek with Best actor (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Olivia Colman with Best Actress (The Favorite).
Alfonso Cuaron won Best Director and Best Cinematography for ‘Roma’ and it was the first time in history that a film maker was awarded for Best director simultaneously with Best cinematography.
‘Roma’ also won the Best Foreign Language Film and it is the first Mexican submission to win.
Laga Gaga also grabbed an Oscars for Best Original Song ‘Shallow’ (A star is Born) which left her in tears.
Box office hit ‘Blank Panther’ also took home Best Custome design, Best Production design and Best Original Score thus making it the first marvel studio film to win an Oscars.
