Koreans don’t slack at all in the fashion game right? The styling alone of their ever-so-lucky actresses is a great testament. I sit to watch a Chaebol-esque or badass female led K-drama and I ogle endlessly at the fantastic cordination of dynamic designs, beautiful fabrics and angelic jewelry before me. Not to mention, covetable accessories!
For your visual pleasure, wardrobe inspiration or just sweet nostalgia, behold 9 kdramas that treated us to some of the most awesome female fashion ever!
Crash Landing on you – Yoon Se ri

Though bred from a Conglomerate, this smart sass still made it a point to become a self- made Business Mogul. This, no doubt, reflected magnificently in her elegant yet sophisticated dresses and that – jeez – that side-parted luscious glory of hair.
With crisp buttoned up shirts paired with myriads of perfectly tailored and patterned black suits..

…and Chanel-esque tweed suits, Yoon Se ri, oozed badass confidence and class.

Her insanely sleek cream blazers were the peak of chic.

Her gorgeous gold ensembles were the definition of pure. golden. majesty.

And her floral embroidered and petal printed dresses were the most romantic, feminine pieces ever. The bliss and peace she felt from being in love totally transcended and made us all want to find our prince charming soon! Heek.

The red and black lined houndstooth coats she donned too, were nothing short of spectacular.

For the record Son Ye jin, you were hats off OUTSTANDING and mesmerizingly beautiful!
Crash Landing on you – Seo Dan

Dan’s unique style was really just as imprinting as her frosty character and *breaks into sob* tragic romance. In bold floral prints layered with long, oversized biege coats, Dan was classic gorgeousness.

In sharply tailored and structured matching feminine suits dramatized by voluptuous neck bows, she redefined breath-taking.

And with bountiful diamond and gold hair clips styled right by her side-parted flowy hair, Dan displayed the right amount of her girlishness.

Her inner naivety and natural cold vibe were perfectly reflected with her prim yet feminine fashion choices. Well done Stylist-nims! And kudos to Seo Ji hye’s beautiful face and figure for pulling Dan’s style off so well!
Search WWW – Cha Hyun

My bold-lipped Porcelain Doll was no doubt the fancy queen of the show. She displayed to us just how cute, stylish and gorgeous even a brash, fight-loving woman can be😅😅.

As interesting as the drama was in itself, Cha Hyun’s vivid fashion was another spectacle for me.

I always looked forward to what she was going to show up next in and she literally dazzled…

Every.

Single.

Time.

Loved her!

Encounter – Cha Soo hyun

Soo hyun was subdued by the pressures of wealth but she was one shrewd CEO who didn’t let any mean in-law or broken marriage ruin her. She used her alimony to build her own empire from the scratch and graced our screen with timeless, classic fashion.
She was quite the lover of bright turtle necks.

A fan of houndstooth coats, long neck scarfs and long-length pleated skirts. Gosh, see how majestic she looks even in these understated attires.

She also looked ethereally graceful whenever she stepped out in soft and bold palettes of high end suits with matching flare short skirts.

And of course, the combination of her classic hair bob, bold red lipstick, impeccable earrings and beautiful face, left us all gagging in awe!

Her Private Life – Sung Deok mi

Park Min Young has got to be one of the luckiest actresses in Kdramaland. No jokes. Not only has she romanced almost all the young, hot Oppas of our dreams, she keeps getting the kinds of heavenly wardrobe we would die for.
As an efficient art curator by day, Deok mi rocked the sleekest of colorful suits and matching pants.

And as a squeeing, fricking’ adorable Fangirl by night; she wore the prettiest, most colorful fun pyjamas ever. I know, even down to the pyjamas, SHOW blessed our eyes!

Deok Mi was not always all immersed in her fangirling and curating activities, she also held it down for dates with Ryan Gold in cool breezy wears.

What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim – Kim Mi so

Here is Park Min Young reveling in her bounteous wardrobe once again. Listen, I never imagined myself being a Secretary like Mi so but if I get to get to wear that sexy high ponytail…
And these chic long-sleeved chiffon tops and high-waisted skirts…

Plus these chic bags everyday of the week…

I would wholeheartedly GO FOR IT.
Wait, I mean, if I get to be decked in gorgeous gowns like these…

I think I would prefer to be a South Korean Actress.
Damn! Park Min young!
She was Pretty – Min Ha ri

We can never forget Hye jin’s eye-catching wifey. Can we? Even though it’s been five whole years, Min Ha ri’s style is still as catchy and unforgettable as hell.

Her short hair, little chokers, stylish blue off-shoulder shirts, wide V-necklines, high-necks, miniskirts and delicate earrings are…

…unarguably one of the most iconic chic combos in kdramaland.

My Love From Another Star – Cheon Song yi

Honestly, till now, no show has been able to match the legendary lavishness of this hit’s wardrobe. And for a decade old drama, that says A LOT! Crash Landing on You was recently hot on the heels but somehow, the impact of MLFAS’ fashion is still overwhelming. We are yet to snap out of the variety of extravagant designs Song yi served with endearing charm and smug charisma.
From the Olive-green and Blue Cape Coats…

to the Chanel suits and furry Coats

to the cool leather jackets

to the big sassy bows

to the striped black and white

all the way to multicolored African prints

to glamorous gowns

to her set of fabulous shades

down to her lounging around her luxurious apartment in pricey PJs & cute bandanas

Cheon Song yi, SLAYED.
Father is Strange – Byeon Hye yeong

Hyeyeong was a fierce, outspoken baddie who never backed down. Needless to say, her style was always at the forefront too. Bold and classy. And because she was as cute and funny as she was hardheaded, her style was very colourful, feminine, and elegant.

See how angelic she looks in her short flare sweetheart wedding dress😥. Unreal.

Here is she and her sisters truly stealing the shine from their older brother’s mean bride in stunning chic pastels😅. Ha! Troublemakers!

The Time we Were in Love – Oh Ha na

As a Marketing executive for a Shoe brand, Oh Ha Na not only stunned in fabulous strappy heels, she strutted the catwalk that was the road and her office; in boundless graceful and sophisticated office wears.

Her staples were knee-length high-waisted pencil skirts, chiffon tops, lace embroidered blouses, tote bags coupled with classic formal bags and exquisite high heels.
This bold-rose printed pencil skirt matched with a beige floral lace blouse was definitely one of the major highlights of Oh Ha na’s runway style. Just see how fab she looks!

Oh Ha na also shone in relaxed attires like this matching blue Chanel tweed suit and jean…

And this monochromatic polka dot pants and blouse styled with a long feminine tie.

And we done! Hope you enjoyed this??
Fashion will always be a huge part of Korean dramas. Because more than just aiming to bless our eyes and make us drool hopelessly, kdramas give us hints about a character’s personality, preferences, style, ambition, profession and emotional state. And we are here for it. All the way!
Here’s to more breath-taking fashion and awesome female characters! We can’t wait!🥂🥂🥳🥳
In these trying times, let’s stay safe guys and not panic. It’ll all be over before we know it. Just sanitize always and maintain the distance. We’ll be alright!❤
